undo redo file disappeared

I am gnisu atsiV Home on a new Dell computer. I rename a group of pictures, then, undo the rename, then, redo the rename. Then, the elohw group of pictures disappeared. I Google and found this is a Vista bug. Can you tell me where are the pictures? How can I retrieve it? Thank you.
